What have you found in generic food or store brand items that you like over the name brand?

~ I like Wegman's fresh pasta better than Bertoli. Plus you get more in the package for less money. Their Ice pops are awesome too, much more juicy than the name brand.

What have item have you decided that name brand is the only way to go?

~ International delight french vanilla creamer for my coffee. Store brands suck! LOL Also, Gold Peak sweet tea!

Do you buy over the counter generics?

~ Always! The only name brand I buy is my midol. LOL

Do you ask for generics when getting a perscription?

~ Absolutely! It's the same dang thing for a lot less money

As for clothing is there a preference for one label vs another?

~ Not really, except for jeans/pants. Old navy are the only ones that are long enough for me. I have a 36" inseam so it's really hard to find long pants. I go to the store, try on a size then go home and order those in "tall", they don't sell them in the store, only on line. Other than that, if I like it, I buy it.

What have you found in generic food or store brand items that you like over the name brand? Not realy generic but Creamette's had their own brand of mac and cheese that was really good, haven't seen it in awhile. Other than that, nothing really stands out, there's some that are as good, not any others I can think of that are better.

What have item have you decided that name brand is the only way to go? There's a few things I will not go generic on. Dish Soap (must be Palmolive), laundry soap when I used it had to be Tide or Cheer (I now use baking soda, vinegar and sometimes borax), tea, must be a good brand like Twinings or better, milk, there's some store brands I am okay with, a couple that are nasty, toilet paper must be northern or Charmin, soft soap (had a walgreens one once that slid right off your hands like slime), tampons, ketchup, mayo. That's all that's coming to mind at the moment.

Do you buy over the counter generics? yep, like walgreens brand
Do you ask for generics when getting a perscription? nope it's assumed with our insurance
As for clothing is there a preference for one label vs another? I prefer the clothes that will fit me properly, which can take a bit of shopping around.

What have you found in generic food or store brand items that you like over the name brand? I'm a big fan of Target's Up & Up brand and occasionally buy Great Value from Walmart or Meijer brand foods. I usually buy store brand tea bags but lately have been getting Luzianne instead.

What have item have you decided that name brand is the only way to go? Charmin toilet paper, Crest toothpaste, Butterball turkeys, Ritz crackers, etc.

Do you buy over the counter generics? Yes

Do you ask for generics when getting a perscription? No, Tricare makes that choice for me, which is fine because it's free anyway. Plus I used to work for companies who manufacture OTC and prescription drugs and some of them were basically the same thing but packaged under a different label.

As for clothing is there a preference for one label vs another? I have labels that I tend to prefer to buy but mostly stick with Kohls, Old Navy, & Aero for me and Paul and Carters or Oshkosh for the kids.
