with me in two short weeks?? April 14th is the SECOND year in a row dh has been gone for our anniversary, and it is our SECOND anniversary!! OMG!! He has missed my birthday every year for the last three years, and missed dd birthday the last two years, and will miss ds birthday this year. He obviousely is missing the birth of this baby as well!! It gets lonely sometimes dosn't it?? Expesially on special days when they are not there................

I'll celebrate with you. It sucks don't it. How much they miss but on the same token what they do get to share with us is that much more special. We don't take each other for granted the way some civilians might. Honestly I wish you the best in your upcoming delivery and pray that everything goes as planned. Hey, this is your third, so you're a pro at it now. Just remember all of us are here for you and are keeping you in our thoughts.

Sure, I'll celebrate with you as long as you do with me on Sunday! That's our 7th anniversary. I've lost track of how many birthday's and anniversaies that DH has missed. Except for my girls b-day's, everything else becomes just another day. Hope you are able to do something special for yourself at least on your anniversary. Do you have any plans? Get yourself something special! Lots of hugs!!

Special days are especially hard, aren't they? I hear you. DH has never been around for my birthday, nor have we ever spent an anniversary together (and we have two every year!). I've learned to have the attitude that really, it's just another day. Christmas and children's birthdays will always be hard though, won't they?

I hear ya!! I will be celebrating our first anniversary, a week from tomorrow, all by my lonesome too. He'll also be missing my birthday tomorrow. I was very much pleased today when I received a brithday card from him, amazingly it arrived on time.

I hate to say this to you, but this is one of those things you just can't change. Wish it were, but it's a part of the military life.

I've been there. Our anniversary is the 16th and the last year dh was gone and nearly was this year as well. I'll help you celebrate!
