Interesting article.  I know when my DH and I first got here to VA I had a full time job on base with MWR in 2 months.  There was room and opportunity for advancement but I didn't advance as I chose to cut back on work when he deployed.

I think there are opportunities for good careers if spouses are willing to do the research on what's portable.  Certain careers and businesses allow movement from state to state.  Banks and credit unions are everywhere as well as YMCAs and hospitals.

I agree, don't let your location and the fact that you are a military spouse keep you from doing what you want to do.  Work if you want or need to and go back to school if it's possible.  

 

I'm sorry that your dh has decided to end the marriage.  :smileysad:
