I haven't heard of this camp before, but it sounds like a wonderful place for these children.

My heart breaks for kids dealing with this. It's hard enough trying to wrap your head around it as an adult. I'm glad they have a place to go like this. I hope it helps in their healing.

TAPS does these and is WONDERFUL! All my widow friends whose kids attend enjoy the time there with their mentors. Not only is there the big one at the National Seminar but when they have the regional seminars they have them too. And this year Camp Erin was started for 5-12 or 14 year olds at four different bases in the country. The camps not only give the kids a place to talk about their loved one (doesn't have to be parent can be sibling, relative, etc) but also have a time to make new friends and have someone spend one on one time with them and makes them feel special. Its an amazing thing for the kids and the parents get the time to bond and talk about things too and discuss their issues and get helpful tips for the kids or themselves too. :-) Can you tell I LOVE TAPS? They've been amazing to me since James died.
