It feels so good to sleep a little over the 5:30am I normally do...and yes...today feels very good indeed.

After all, I am surviving this...DH emails me daily, he's is doing ok in the carrier, (though he told me that he did not passed an audiology test...he said his workcenter is too noisy...he works in the level under the plane's catapult....but I knew he had audio-problems loooong time ago .."Did you hear what I said, Sam??? " >>>Sam would normally go like: "Uh??????")

Things are going very, very good at the office, I feel content, busy and productive. I have a few projects in the house, I want to paint my room a dark coral color- (I'm re-decorating it in an "indian-exotic" theme....and I'm going to install a deep cranberry color beaded organdy & velvet round canopy, which I'm going to buy the materials to have my mom sew it for me this week....So...when DH finally gets home, he is going to find his boring bedroom is no longer there!

So- I'm going to keep myself busy....I need it to be this way...otherwise I'll go nuts!!!

Redecorating is a great way to keep busy. Last year we started a major remodel on the house. We had a great contractor and the construction was done in about 3 months (a local record, I think). The finishing work was ours to complete (paint, trim, floors, etc). So, one room at a time, we've been choosing themes, colors and materials. But with dh deployed, the pace has slowed considerably. My dad's been great in helping to do some of the work (retirement does have advantages). The major headache right now is the city signing off on the permit. Everything is in order, but now they decide we have to plant a tree before they sign off. Isn't that extortion? They don't want any old tree or shrub, it has to be 6-8 years old (about $300-500!). We have two 100+ year old trees on the lot already, isn't that enough? Ok, so now I'm venting.

Sounds like you're doing a great job of keeping busy! And how great is it that you get to hear from DH so often! Gotta love email! My step-mother constantly tells me how different things are today from 25 years ago when she was a new Navy wife! Dad was in for 20 years and had to go a long time before hearing from him sometimes, too.

Good luck with the projects! They sound great!

Well...it's a pitty we live in the base...'cause if this house would have been mine.....a lot of things would have been gone... (a few wall perhaps????)......
