The last I heard they are estimating 5000 people to attend the service.
I am really impressed to see how our community has become a great support for the soldiers and their families here. They are constantly organizing support our troops rally's. Many of the large stores here have huge banners that you can sign as you enter the store. And everywhere you look, there are yellow ribbons, American Flags, and signs of support.
Since the first week of the War, no one is covering any protests going on. And if they are mentioned, they dont get much. But when it comes to supporting our troops, we get in depth coverage. I am truly impressed with how everyone has pulled together for the soldiers.
I did get a bit choked up this morning. I was reading our local paper, and they were mainly covering the memorial ceremony and the soldiers KIA coming home. They had a picture of a casket of one of those soldiers and the Catholic Chaplain blessing the casket. They also had a wonderful article which told us about each one of the soldiers that were Killed.
So, now I am going to go clean my house and get ready to go to the memorial ceremony. I am pretty sure I will not be able to keep my composure and end up being a bit emotional.

Take care Anna!
