Ok for most this won`t seem like a big deal but to me it is and my hubby would be proud,

you see i have a major driving phobia and get physically ill when i have to get on the highway. hubby usually drives me where ever i have to go bc of this problem. i drove maybe 5% of the time since i got here, this place is intimidating to a non driver lol. anyway my good news is that i got on the highway and drove my girls to the battalion easter egg hunt, they had fun and got lots of treats it made my whole day that i got there and got back home no problem!!! woohoo. i wrote dh about it as soon as i got home that is what he wants me to work on while he is gone is getting over my fear of driving.

so i just had to share my small but happy news. one small step makes a big difference

love

Way to go Rece!! I noticed the craziness of the roads down there when I was in CO in March. I can only imagine how much courage for you to get on them. By the way, the Easter egg hunt sounds like fun.

Woohoo Rece. I used to have the same issue. Now I can drive across states to go see my Marine when he is home in the States.

Good luck and I am glad you enjoyed the drive and the Easter Egg hunt!

Rece,

Any improvement in one's self is awesome news! I'm so happy for you! Just between you and me (and everyone who reads this post...LOL) I'm afraid to drive in the snow! I've lived in Germany, and in WI, and still have yet to drive in the stuff! LOL! One day I hope to conquer that fear! So...kudos to you!!!

You go, girl - literally! Good for you! How does it feel to conquer that anxiety? My MIL doesn't do bridges and considering she lives near the ocean in CT, there are a lot of bridges. She handles the ones she can't avoid by gunning it and closing her eyes, definitely not a safe way, lol!

Is this a sign of things to come? Do you feel better having done it on your own (and not having a back up of someone to do it for you)?

Congratulations, Rece! How excited and proud of yourself you should be!

Hugs,

Jill, Coast Guard wife, MI
