Ok, my dd Kaylee is 2 1/2, She'll go pee pee on the potty but only right

before she gets in the tub. She refuses to go poo poo on the potty. However,

when she needs to go poo poo, she hides when she does it. I need advice on how to get her to us the potty to do both. Anyone have some advice that might work please!

Diapers are getting to be to expensive. Thanks ahead for the advice.

I understand completing on the diapers being expensive. The biggest advice I can give is don't force her to go. Whether you want her to or not she will do it on her own time. What you could do is make a potty chart and each time she goes both #1/#2 put a sticker on it, or you can give her the sticker. My dh's cousins little girl gets a sticker everytime she goes to the toilet and everyone makes a big deal of it so it encourages her. I am trying to do this with my dd (who turned 2 in Oct) but it's not completely working. I try to make a big deal out of it when she does go and she likes that, but of course that doesn't make her go everytime. LOL I will ask her if she needs to go potty and most of the time it's NO, but I try to encourage her to go to the bathroom and at least try. Most of the time she just sits on the toilet. She likes to wipe though! LOL As far as #2, well she goes off by herself and does that! LOL Kids, don't you just love em! hehe

I looked at the link to dr phil and that might be a good idea. I might have to try that!

I had a hard time with ds trying to potty train, but the week that he turned 3 he was all of sudden potty trained. It's like something clicked and he just decided it was time! lol

Good luck and maybe I can get a few more pointers as well! lol

Oh wow! I totally understand about the diapers being expensive! I have a 19 month old in diapers & a 2.5 year old in pull-ups! I think the Dr. Phil advice was great, but I didn't hear about it til after we had started potty training with my oldest. We're definitely going to try it with my baby though! You know what worked well for us was a candy jar. My kids pretty much NEVER get candy! They are high strung enough without giving them candy. But, I was having a hard time with Kaytlin so I put a little tupperware container with M&M's in it in the bathroom. Everytime she went peepee she got to eat one & everytime she went poopoo she got to eat 2! BUT, that was the only time M&M's were given so that it would be a big treat! After she got comfortable going we weened the M&M's so she wouldn't expect them for the rest of her life! She wore real big girl panties to school today & last I checked still no accidents! Woo Hoo! Good Luck - she'll get it in time!
