If you use most of the mainstream news stations you'd think we're losing the war. That we're taking huge numbers of casualties, have this and that setback, and attacking civilians. But when you read the articles closely it doesn't pan out.

We've only been at it for one week and we've made more progress than any previous war did in 4 months. We've taken care of the Iraqi prisoners. We have sophisticated bombing and take extra pains not to bomb civilian areas. We take extra pains to give chances for people with weapons to surrender.

And what do we get.

Our marines are being shot at by Iraqi forces that set up in hospitals and schools and hide their weapons there. Plus soldiers in civilian clothing.

Sorry, I'm just fed up with biased liberal news that claim to support our troops but then feed us more propaganda quotes from Iraqi officials than they do facts.

I completely agree with you, I've been avoiding the news like the plague (sp?). I check a couple time a day to make sure that nothing detrimental has happened, but it makes me so sad to see the negativity that is being aimed at Americans in general.

Take care! Keri

Since I do NOT watch tv news, when I want to know something, I just log-on to www.globalsecurity.org. It provides me with the information I want, plus it tells me about the "who, when & where's" is/are being deployed. It's updated frequently and I believe it's unbiased information. Give it a try.

That is why I limit myself to certain times for news, and only watch foxnews network, it's far less liberal....and I also get the armytimes.com briefs, so it's a little bit more *balanced*! Hugs to you!

Love ya,

Chris
