DH left yesterday morning for a bit and hopefully they'll be back in time for the holiday weekend.
Please think positive thoughts for my FIL. He called yesterday - and this burns my butt - he found out IN A LETTER from his doctor that his biopsy from two weeks ago came back positive for skin cancer and that he should have surgery to remove the lesion soon. The letter was dated April 2 and postmarked April 10! In it, the doctor said that by the time he received the letter that he should have heard from his nurse... nope! Not ONE phone call! FIL turns 70 on Thursday and we've planned a suprise party for him with family and friends up here (he's planning on heading up from IN on Wed.). I think that after this diagnosis and a cold he's been fighting last week that he'll really enjoy himself up here on the lake.
In other news, I've got less than five weeks left of the semester and I'm putting together plans to have a cocktail party before the big event (it's a 7:30p graduation). I'll try not to get too intoxicated before hand, but I think it would be a fun and relatively inexpensive way to celebrate.
And finally, my sister who is supposed to graduate HS in FL next month may not graduate after all. I'm so upset that I don't think it would be wise for me to talk with her right now. She's been given extensions in two of her classes but just refuses to put forth the effort to get the passing grades she needs. Mom and I feel that she thinks that the school isn't serious when they say that she won't graduate. Grr!!!
Phew. When I started this post, I didn't think I'd have too much to write, lol! Hope you're all doing well. I think of my MW sisters often! Hugs to you all!

I'm sorry to hear that your FIL heard about the results of his biopsy through the mail. What a blow. :( Will they just do an out patient procedure to remove it?
I'm also sorry to hear about your sister. Hopefully, she'll get a CLUE soon. If not, well, she'll learn her lesson the hard way, I guess, huh? Bummer.
Take care, Jill!!

Sending a prayer for FIL. Enjoy the weather and know that you're in my thoughts.
Hugs,
Dina
As for your sister Jill sometimes you just have to let them learn the hard lessons. It is hard to sit back and do this believe me but in the end she won't learn if they keep making it easier for her. I hope it all works out well for her!
Hugs to you and I hope that your cocktail party goes well! That sounds fun!
Hope C makes it home for the weekend!
Hgus to you
