Late Introduction - New Army Wife

Hello, All, my name is Jo and I currently reside in Jackson, MS. My husband, Ed, joined the army on March 5, 2003, he was laid off from WorldCom the day after my birthday in December. He is currently completing basic in Fort Jackson, SC and then he will be going to Fort Gordon for AIT. We have been married for 10 yrs and have three beautiful daughters Amber(15), Priscilla(6) and Rebekah(4). You will probably see me refer to him as HL or Hubby Love.

My oldest is already trying to figure out a way for us to move to the local community of Augusta across the summer so that we can possibly see him on the weekends. I told her it is a strong possibility that it will NOT happen. I told her to just hold on and we would all be reunited in no time. Well any way you will probably see me here a lot on the weekends. I will also try to come for the chat on Thursday night.

Thanks for a place to cry, receive inspiration and to just have all around fun.

Hi welcome to the board. I am Mic, married to an ANG who got activated 17 months ago, his base is 3 hours north of here so we did alot of commuting and even spent a month up there with him last summer (is that a possibility for you ? granted we had to live in a camper in pretty primitive conditions but it was worth it). Glad you found the board, hang in there, we are all proud of your LH and your family !

Nice to meet you!

Hello and welcome! It's always nice to welcome a new poster. First off, I'm sorry to hear about your HL getting laid off, especially so close to the holidays. That always blows my mind how many pink slips get handed out that time of year.

Welcome to the army world! I hope you'll post often.

Hubby Love. I LOVE that! Can I use it, too?! HL - I call DH honey a lot, so mine could be Honey Love, lol.

Welcome, Jo! I'm proud of your DH for joining - in addition to serving, it's a job where there isn't much chance for a layoff, huh?

Hope you and the kiddos are doing well with the changes!

I'm Jill - wife to Christopher who is in the Coast Guard. We live in northern Michigan.

Welcome!
