Ok here is my problem

My neighbors have 2 huge dogs and dont clean up after them...So I cant even open my windows to let air into my house because the stink over takes us all...

I have called the housing about it

But what else can I do

It is really bad

There yard is a hazard to their kids that run and play in the stuff :(

I am very upset about this

And to top that off they smoke inside their house and it comes into my house and I am allergic to smoke and so that is no good either...

If anyone has any suggestions I would so much appreicate them

Thanks

Do you have a Housing Mayor in your area? Maybe they will talk to them or write them a ticket. If you've already talked to Housing and the Mayor and no one is willing to do anything, I don't know what else to say. I know it's no fun to have terrible neighbors. I hope things get better for you soon!!

Call Housing until you get a response. A squeaky wheel always gets a response. They probably won't be able to do much about them smoking in their house but they can do something about the animal waste in the yard. There are regulations that garner that kind of thing.

We have that problem here now that the snow is melting. Every month a letter is sent to the housing residents with the exact housing rule # and everything that says they have to clean up after their pets on walks and DAILY in the yards. We hit 54 last Friday and were playing in the backyard and all we could smell was dog poo since all of our neighbors have one or more dogs. THe base paper also prints a message about it too and from what I understand people are being issued tickets and if they get too many bad calls and still do not clean up their housing can be taken from them. Housing on base is a privelege and benefit and if abused you can be forced to move out. My DH saw a guy walking his dog the other day and he pooped on someone's driveway. THe guy looked around to see if anyone was around and then walked off. How gross to be getting in your car or something and step in that. I would call the housing office and see if you do have a group that represents the residents. We have a group here, but we are also privatized housing so I don't know if that makes a big difference or what. Keep calling though because there is no reason you should not be able to open windows or be outside because of dog poo. I am not sure on the smoking thing. Most people around here smoke outside I've noticed. Good luck!
