My dh is finally gone...
Mon, 04-07-2003 - 12:36pm
Their plane left a few hours ago. (Or should have!) Today makes two whole months since he got activated. It just all seems so unreal. He called me before the plane took off. What can you say? We've already said all of the 'love you's and be careful'. *Sigh* This had better be over and quickly! I am just so ready to have a 'normal' life again! But enough of my whining.

I wish all of you girls would post me an update! I feel so out of the loop! How are you-all doing? What's going on in your life? I need to know these things! lol

Well, I'm off to do some more laundry and try to convince myself that it's really ok to feel...ok. lol (I somehow have it stuck in my mind that I should be curled up in a fetal position bawling! And since I'm doing fine, I feel bad! lol)

BTW...Now that he's gone, I can tell you where I've been. I've been going up to a base in VA. We've been to Colonial Williamsburg, the Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown, VA beach, and the Chesepeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel. I've had a blast up there and will miss it!

Hugs to you all!

Awww Jami! Don't feel bad. You can't help how you feel. I hope everything goes quickly too. Just make sure you keep busy, but not too busy to where you wear yourself out. Take extra special care of yourself and ds. Plan things to do with ds. I'm sure he will enjoy it as well.

As for me, not much is going on currently, just been busy working and such and I've got a busy 2 months coming. I just got back from Chicago and then next week I'm going to New Jersey for work for a couple days. Then of course there's Easter coming, my sisters bridal shower and bachlorette party, Jacob starts t-ball the end of May so he will be having practices soon, a b-day party to attend next Sat., baby shower Sunday, a training class in May and then my sisters wedding the end of May. Got more going on, but I could make a book right now with it so I had better stop there! lol

Email me anytime. BTW, how's the deck coming along? Dh and I will be tearing down our back porch real soon and putting up a deck within the next couple of months. Should be fun! LOL I know I will like the end result!

Take care of yourself and know that I'm thinking of you.

Lots of hugs.

Hi Jami,

In a way, I'm happy for you that he finally left. The anticipation stinks! DH's division will be leaving soon, and that's where we are... just waiting. (LOL, along with about 20,000 other people on this post!)

On the bright side, you were able to visit one of the best areas of the country. There's so much to do there!

:) Melissa

First of all, big fat Godzilla hugs to you, I can't imagine what you're going through right now. Keep the faith and He will take care of both of you.

Second of all, here's my update per your request!

My car received some hail damage from a storm Saturday, (gotta love Texas!) so I'm waiting for an adjuster to come out to look at it.

CJ is great, although he's getting into the whiney and grunting stage!

Cam is busy with sailor and school stuff, I'm lucky if I get to see him at night! He skipped working at his part time job Saturday b/c he was just exhausted!

I started another class, Instructional design, fun, fun I tell you.

I'm here if you need me, I hope you know that.

Hugs and prayers for you and DH,

Jami, you are such a strong woman. Hugs to you and DS. You both are going to come through this with flying colours.

BTW, I loved my holidays in Colonial Williamsburg and area this past summer. It is so beautiful. Pretty darn hot for a Canadian in July but it was great fun.

Nothing much new in my world since I last posted. Still messing around with the INS, missing DH, trying to fight this nasty illness, and keep my head above water.

Huge hugs,
