I would just talk with your church leaders and ask them for ideas on how to get started and what to do. I guess you could set up weekly meetings or something. Sorry if I'm not much help I don't go to church although I probably should. It sounds like a pretty good idea. Goodluck!

First I would post it in the church bulletin and see if anyone is interested. They could call the church office for details. You could also ask for support from the congregation (civilians). We use to attend a couples Bible study one night a week and one of the members arranged all the childcare. It was incredibly refreshing to get away and have adult conversation one night a week and not have to figure who would be watching our children. Right now a lady in my church has a dh would is deployed in another state. She appreciates just coming over to my house for a plate of brownies and time to talk. I am also thinking of watching her kids monthly so she can fly out to see her dh over the next year. I had so many people help me when my dh was deployed and now I just want to help others in that same situation. I am just now realizing now how much support I received. Good luck with starting your group. Support can make something much more bearable.

That's a great idea!

We have 'announcement time' at our base chapel right before services begin. Perhaps that is one way you can do that, maybe have the pastor do for you.

You could also add something to the church bulletin or make flyers to go into the bulletin.

Do you have fellowship time after services where people get together for coffee and talk? If so, there's another opportunity.

I'm sure the church has a directory, you could make some cold calls to those who might be interested.

Just some suggestions!
