President gave a speech today, and mentioned a few places that are offering support to US, the families left behind. Here's the article, but in a nutshell, American Legion is trying to match up volunteers to needs of military families (ie. yard work, housework, child care etc.), VFW is putting together baby care packages for families with little ones, and another organization is USA Freedom Corps is also trying to match up volunteers skills with the needs of military families. If you have an need please contact them, there are people out there that want to help us out. Anyways here's the article. http://www.kstp.com/article/view/89608/

Also I know the first lady of Minnesota is trying to do the same thing, right now the site is just up for volunteers to join. http://www.governor.state.mn.us/flmain1.asp This might catch on in some of your states too, keep your eyes open. AND now all these people wanting to send care pacakges that shouldn't be, can help in another way.

Mic, thanks for having the insight to write that stuff down, and bring it to the board. I listened to his speech, and I was impressed with the assistance that is being offered, I just hope that the people that need it, actually hear about it.
