Stars Earn Stripes

There's a new reality series called Stars Earn Stripes that is being called a cross between Survivor and Dancing with the Stars. It pairs celebrities with military-trained operatives (including SEALs and Green Berets) to compete in events based on real training missions. Each celebrity is playing for a military charity.
Critics are calling for the show to be cancelled for trivializing the sacrifice and risk that goes into military service. Others seem to think it's fine since military charities are benefiting from the series.

I am a veteran and my dh is a retired E8 and we watched. We saw nothing wrong with it. Granted, they can't show just how we do things, but I see nothing wrong with showing the civilian sector just what we have to do every single day in training to keep them safe. If it helps more people respect our troops, then it is not a bad thing at all.
