Hi ladies,

Well, here's my weekly post. Not that much happens around here, so I have little to say. LOL.

Lance is growing like a weed. He's three and a half months old now, and we're estimating he's about 16 pounds and maybe 26 inches long. We'll find out for sure at his doctor's appt. in two weeks. He's over his colic, but is still quite a grumpy baby! I don't think he's getting enough sleep during the day, but he's just not a good sleeper. Ugh.

I'm going to start him on cereal this week. Yup, it's a little early, but the boy is big! Simple formula isn't holding him. I feed him every two hours!

Scott is packing... and so am I! LOL.. I'm hoping that once his division pushes out some on post housing will open up. Scott's very excited about the prospect of coming back from Iraq to an on-post house. We find paying rent very boring. LOL. We really like our neighborhood (That's a first with the army!). We're backed up to woods, which is wonderful. I love the privacy. I grew up in a house with woods in the back and a very large yard, so living in neighborhoods where houses are practically right on top of each other has been a hard adjustment for me.

I'm rambling... I'll stop.

Hope everyone is well. The boy and I are off to commiscary.

:) Melissa

Awwww I can't believe Lance is nearing 4 months old! Geesh I remember the days waiting for him to arrive! I am glad his colic is over. Hopefully he learns to like sleep a little more ;-)

I wish Scott wasn't packing at all! You know I am here for you and that phone line will work both ways!

Enjoy the commisary!

Hugs

oh my goodness 4 months already!! where does the time go...i cant believe that he is almost 16 lbs, 26 inches. he is a big guy!! good luck w/ the cereal. i'd give it to him too, those "recommendations" are just that...every baby is different.

glad to hear he's over the colic. Braden won't sleep anymore either, here it is 3:30p my time and he's JUST now falling asleep for his first nap of the day. Yes I know...he is a newborn, that's all he's supposed to do! But he has other ideas.

I'm sorry to hear Scott is heading off. I wasn't aware that he was leaving. :( I feel bad for you all, that is really too bad that he'll have to miss Baby Lance. Hopefully they will all be home soon.

Anyway Hugs for you and the boy, from me and my boy. :)

You have a non-sleeper too? Sheesh. I'm so jealous of all those people with sleeping babies. Even when Lance was a newborn he wouldn't sleep. I feel your pain. LOL

Good luck with getting on base housing! Enjoy your time with Scott before he leaves. And I hope little Lance shows, what I'm sure is, a beautiful smile to you more often!

As for the next door neighbor's dog - I totally was thinking of you while I lay in bed that morning wondering what I should do, lol! I, too, am so happy they were so receptive. I haven't heard little Duncan bark much at all lately!

Have a great week, Jill
