I hope all of you are doing well. Life here has been a bit on the chaotic side.
Our post is scrambling to get a stronger support system into action for those soldiers with the 507. I think for many of us here, it has hit a bit too close to home and really changed our reality.
The civilian community has really kicked in on the support front. Tens of thousands of dollars have been donated to our Family Assistance Center. And the post has gotten to the point that they would prefer you didnt donate sundries. They are running out of room to store them. And sending huge shipments of donations everyday. Someone donated 1200 gallons of fresh bottled water, as well as a ton of chap stick, sun block, beef jerkey and so on. It is wonderful to see how much everyone here cares.
Yesterday we went to Kohl's and almost every person in the store had at least a yellow ribbon. It was really touching.
I decided my dd is going to obedience school. She has been so difficult lately. Boy she is going to be difficult this next year. DH better come home soon. LOL.
Other than that. All is well. I just ordered about $70 worth of beads, so I can get lots of stuff made this month. I have enough projects to keep me busy until DH comes home. Plus some. As soon as I have some more stuff made, I will send you a link to my web page.
Have a great week ladies. I am off to order tshirts for our unit.
