WHAT was he thinking?

Hi Ladies,

Just have to blow off some steam here because the Hubby doesn't need to hear it!

Long story short - last Monday, after the Super Bowl, a candidate in my husband's class was kicked out. At 9am he was still reeking of alcohol and blew a .09.... the day AFTER the Super Bowl! Needless to say, his suspension was swift.

Fast forward 24 hours, the ex-candidate calls two other candidates and three instructors with gun threats. He basically told the candidates "when I come into the room, hit the ground 'cuz I'll be aiming for white shirts". Well, he was taken into custody and the guys had several talks from their instructors the next day. Having him in custody clearly helped everyone's concerns and the guys have become even closer because of it.

What stinks now, though, is that this guy's confinement was only until today and he lives 1 block from our house. I know I should give the benefit of the doubt that he'll get help (he's married and has 2 kids so he has a LOT going for him), but I can't help but be nervous since the candidates exchanged addresses, phone numbers, etc. I wish Brian would talk to his leader about getting any future info, but I can understand his hesitation and they probably wouldn't share any information, anyways.

I guess the guys were teasing Bri about having to pass out bullet-proof vests at any graduation party we have, but I can't find the humor in the situation. I know that's how the men are coping with it, but it makes me want to hide!!

Prayers and advice would be wonderful! Thanks as always for listening :)

First of all you and your husband will be in my prayers! Along with the ex-candidate. I can understand your worry. Did this guy seem normal until he got suspended or was he a "problem child" from the beginning. Either way you have to take this as he is serious, so if I were you I would be extra careful. Lets just hope his little stint in jail helped him figure out it was a bad idea to even threaten that. I really don't have much advice for you other than just keep an extra keen eye.
