Hi! I just found this board and am glad to see there are still a few people here! doesn't seem very active :( I have had trouble finding first responder wives forums and really any support.
I'm 22 years old and have been married to my paramedic for 2 years & we just had a baby this past december! He works full time and is also a volunteer. I was a voluteer at the same department until the baby was born. I have had a hard time dealing with this lifestyle. I feel like I will never really accept it. Just desperately looking for someone who gets it..
Hi Amanda, I'm glad to meet you. I'm an EMT/dispatcher, married to a police officer. We have odd hours but maybe that's a good thing as I think we might drive each other nuts if we were together too much, LOL.
