Here's the deal.

I had two job interviews recently.

I have one question for you before I tell you my thoughts.

Do you want to be talked INTO taking the new job - or talked OUT of it?

Answer quick - don't think about it - go with your first feeling.

Okay. I was kind of ready to go all demented cheerleader on you, and talk you INTO it. LOL

So, what about this:

>>However, another voice is saying, "What if this is just fear of change? What if wanting to stay put is a psychologically trick I'm playing on myself to remain connected to xap? What if new job ends up being better and I turned it down for nothing?"<<

Because I think that it doesn't so much matter which decision you end up making - what matters is that you are completely okay with the decision, and that you don't spend the next six months beating yourself up or thinking you made the wrong decision.

If we can make that deal (yes - I know - this isn't ABOUT me), then it's all good.

Hi. I talked to my H and a professional mentor of mine last night and decided to turn it down. I realized that the only things that were making me interested really were the complete severing of my xap connection and the possibility to form a new social circle. Not that these things aren't important but I'd like to get those AND protect the time I have with my kids (maybe even increase it). Or at least it has to be something I feel excited about. And I didn't feel excited I just felt like I'd be running away. That attitude is what got me here in the first place.
So I said no and they were disappointed and I have reservations but I'm glad I didn't settle. There are other fish in the sea.

Thanks,

I will put my pom poms away, this time. Because running away is bad, and so is settling.
