Sunny, I just had to start this thread after being over at EAS and getting myself in a tizzle over initially thinking a poster was you. The poster was SunnyDaysSoon (sorry to that Sunny and sending good thoughts to you) After a little tooing and froing from that board to this, when I realised it actually wasn't the same Sunny (which I did know but had a 'can't find a working brain cell' moment!) The penny then dropped about your name and I found myself in fits of laughter. I have to share, stay with me.
I have always seen your name and thought it was Sunny Day Snow. When I first saw it, I thought hmmm...snow on a sunny day? Why that name? Strange name, strange concept. Why would it snow on a sunny day? Why would you want it to?
So, as the months went on, each time I saw your name my brain turned it into an image of one of those glorious sunny days when the snow is on the ground, the sky is heavenly blue and everything is pristine and full of promise and expectation of new and wondrous things. I love those days. We don't get many here (not much snow) but I have vivid memories of them and the feeling of wonder and excitement at their sheer beauty. They are days which made me feel privileged to be alive to see.
I see now that actually your name is probably Sunny Days Now. LOL. I like both versions, but if it's OK with you, I'll stick to my image of a glorious blue sky, pristine snow on the ground and expectations of something wonderful. I have to say Sunny, you are actually wonderful!
I do now wonder about other people's names and why you chose them? So if anyone wants to play, I'll start.
I chose Mylittlesongbird because it reminds me of the most precious little person in my life. It says it all really, without me saying too much so someone might figure out who I am. (Paranoia abounds at the most ridiculous times!) She brings me absolute joy whenever I'm with her, see her or just think about her and sometimes, when everything else just seems overwhelmingly black, a thought of her will pop into my head and it's like the stars came out just for me. The name was a reminder at a deeply dark time, that there was a very bright, shining star in my life.
So, why did you call yourself whatever you called yourself?
An intrigued Bird!
