Hey babies,

So yeah, for those of you in the U.S. - HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

For those of you not in the U.S. - I am sorry that you do not get to have Thanksgiving because it is AWESOME.

I made pie.  Do you want some?  I'm happy to share.  :)

In case I haven't told you lately, I am thankful for all of YOU.  I am thankful that you found us, that you gathered up your courage and decided to post for the very first time, that you have stuck with us through the board changes and all of the drama and the trauma.  I am thankful that none of you is perfect.  I am thankful that *I* am not perfect.  I am thankful that I still get far more than I give out here, and I am thankful that every day, I find something in each of your experiences that inspires me and touches me.

I am thankful that this place exists, and that each of you continues to contribute to our little community.  I am thankful that we stick together, that we have each other's backs here, and that our hearts are never so full that we don't have room for more posters.  I am thankful that you guys welcome every new poster here with so much grace, and compassion, and genuine caring.

I hope that you have a beautiful Thanksgiving day, wherever you are.  I hope that at some point during the day, you can find a quiet moment to reflect on what you are thankful for, and then, celebrate it.  Celebrate YOU - for getting where you are, for the work you've done, for the work that you are still doing.

In case I don't say it enough - you guys are wonderful, and you amaze and stun me every day.

Love,

Kim

(((((STUN)))))) oh yeh...(stun)...and I just wanted to make sure you got yours for the day. Innocent

I know you and yours will enjoy your Thanksgiving because you are such a fun-lovin' bunch.

And yes, I'd like pie, please.  Got any strawberry rhubarb?  Damn!  I made a promise to myself that I'd have pie...I always forget it.  Hmmm...still early...market's still open...gotta go...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you tooSmile We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK, but we definitely should!! When I see Thanksgiving on American movies it looks so lovely, all that yummy food with the family, it must be great.

I would love some pie thank you very much Kim, preferably apple pie with cinnamon, and can I have it with custard please? I do love custard with my puddingsSmile

Well, I too am so thankful for these boards, as you all know, I am always gushing about how important they are to me, and how much you all mean to me. I when I say I don't know where I would be without them and you and that they/you saved me I am not exaggerating. When I think back to the state I was in this time last year, and the state xAP was in too, how much pain we were causing each other, gosh it's such a relief I am not living that life anymore, I was so miserable, stressed out, anxious and depressed, I am so much happier now, peaceful, contented, calm, relaxed, enjoying and appreciating the simple things in life.

What I am most thankful for is my precious family, my H and my two big strapping boys. I can't put into words just how thankful I am that I still have them, I am overwhelmingly thankful that we are all together and that we are happy and healthy.

And I am thankful for my healing journey of discovery, I am learning so much every day from all you wonderful people here, I am thankful that I am here with you all, in this safe place, thankful for all your support, kindness, caring and wisdom.

Much love, Soglad x o x o x

I am SO thankful for these boards.

Kim..thankyou for your post. I have been reflecting on how I came to these boards...like many with a google search. I knew I was in over my head and had no clue as to how to find my way out. It has been the openness and vulnerability of everyone who takes the time to share their thoughts and their struggles that has helped me admit that I was in over my head, that I needed help. It is the compassion and glimmers of hope found on these boards that has helped me as I stumle through this thing called healing and recovery/discovery. I was watching my family yesterday.Uncles aruguing sports and politics. Toddlers running around crashing big-wheels and trikes, kids home from college with their significant others. It was the first time I have been fully engaged in celebrating Thanksgiving (which used to be my all time favoirte holiday)  in years..and I couldn't help but think.. wow. I have been truly blessed with family and friends with such a rich tapestry of human connection. I would not have appreciated that..and would have probably lost all of it without the support found here. So thankyou.

Is there pie left?  It's pumpkin pie isn't it?

You Americans are soooo lucky to have Thanksgiving.  A holiday just to be thankful, it's brilliant, especially now that most of our holidays have been turned to greed.

And Kim, your post brought tears to my eyes, but the good kind, the kind that makes us think just how fortunate we are.  big smooches

Happy thanksgiving to my US pals. Echo everyone's sentiments. Kim - you are a national treasure for sure. And would love some pie - and like Soglad - with custard! Yellow x

Clare-bear -

No strawberry rubarb.  I am not quite *that* talented.  :)

I'm glad you were able to get to the store to get some pie, though.

Hugs,

Kim

So glad -

I am sorry that you do not have Thanksgiving across the pond.  Because you should.  It's wonderful.  It is pretty much the perfect holiday - no gifts are required, no religious observances, it's just all about FOOD.  (Fine - and being thankful, and family, and some other stuff, if you want, but mostly it's about the FOOD.)

So maybe you could start a new tradition for yourself?  :)

Also...I need to know what "custard" is.  Because when we say that, we mean like, pudding-type stuff, but I have a feeling that when you say it, it means something else.  Is it ice cream?  Is that what it is?

Please translate for me?  :)

RB sweet pea -

So let me ask you:  Do you host Thanksgiving?  And, how many people are there?  You know me - I am ever curious.  :)

I saw that you had a little bit of a rough spot, and I am sorry for that.  I hope that things have smoothed over for you, and that you are doing better this week.

Love,

Kim

HI HAPPY!

:)

So you guys have Thanksgiving too, though - don't you?  But...it is not the same as ours?  No turkey?  No pie?  No stuffing?  <gasps in horror>

Now you have me thinking.  Maybe everyone should plan a trip to come to my house next year for Thanksgiving.  Wouldn't that be fun?  <yes - super fun!>

:)

Kim
