Thanks everyone for your advice and although I would love to make her more miserable, I really just want her out of my life and away from my kids. So since she knows I have the the ring

Good idea, she should have to sort through the garbage to find it! Yes, she may have never left you alone, so I guess it is best to get it back to her somehow.

Take care,
Lori

Excellent. Just make sure nothing of a personal nature, like account numbers or anything is in the trash.

Perfect. Trash sorting thru trash. LOL Be sure to throw in two or three days of wet coffee grounds. This will make it more fun for her. I once had a little too loose ring slip off my finger fighting to get the too full trash bag out of the can. It feel to the bottom of the bag and there was a few days worth of wet coffee grounds stuck to everything in there that I had to dig thru to find it. It was nasty nasty nasty.

i think you have chosen a very good way to give the ring back--and expecially with her having to go thru the trash.

I think the coffee grounds are great--add all the out of date or almost out of date dairy products and anything else out of the fridge--tie it up tight--place in a garbeage can overnight in a heated area--maybe test out that space heater in your garage---and let it fertilize til she shows up------What a TREAT!

Good idea. Some fermenting cottage cheese would also be a good addition. LOL

It won't do any good to put them in the garbage. My wife lost her house/car keys in the garbage once. She just hired a few neighbor kids for a few dollars to sift through the stuff until they found them. she never even got her hands dirty. I'm sure thats what this woman will do also. but i hope it all works out for you. Just me, but i would drag this out as long as i possibly could just to piss her off more (crazy girl). it must be driving her nuts knowing you have them and have complete control. again.. good luck to you

Frankly, I would have never hired my neighbors kids to do this when I lost my ring. For one the thought would have never crossed my mind to do this type of thing. Sorry but I can't imagine going next door and asking my neighbor if I can hire their kids to dig thru my garbage. I think they would look at me like I'm some kind of nut case. Also I consider myself a fairly intelligent person and since I never would have thought of this, I don't think someone with a way below average intelligence level like Tootsie would either

I agree with you..to be honest, if I was Tootsie, I would just dump the garbage all over the lawn/ front door or drive way and look for the ring that way.
