I'm inclined to agree with the other poster, he learned that somewhere and has been using it.

We are 9.5 months past D-Day and my DH started using "shortcuts" when texting me also. We never used to text before his A but have started doing it a lot. It really bothered me at first but I decided to make it "our" special thing that we do to each other. Another thing he does when we are intimate was "new" to us and that also bothered me at first but I have learned to enjoy that also. If the XOW is truly out of your M throw her out of your head. She doesn't belong their. He is YOUR H and she had no business sharing things with someone else's H in the first place, so put her where she belongs in the trash can. I know it's hard but you have to make your mind say STOP, she is not worth it and move her and their experience out of your head.

That was my very first thing I noticed different about my H before I had enough clues to realize he was having an affair.

All of a sudden my "send two 3 word text messages a month" husband was texting in scentences.
