Make you open your eyes to other things about your spouse you did not see before?? good or bad?

Yes, my friends Phd and Phd2 (funny, I haven't mentioned them much lately but all at once their advice seems to figure into every discussion) helped me see that W is much weaker emotionally than I had ever realized.

Oh, yes, well actually it would be more accurate to say that I see what I saw before only from a different perspective. For instance, all of those things that he complained about in his first M I now understand many of them to be a result or at least partially the result of his own insecurities and issues. Don't get me wrong, his xW is diagnosable, I could tell you stories just from my experience of her, but there were many issues in their very bad M that originated with or were exacerbated by him. Basically, I don't give him a buy on anything anymore. There isn't any "you poor baby" left in me for him. Even concerning one of his colleagues who has made his life hell I can't give him much sympathy about because he has done nothing to change the situation.

I guess you could basically say that I don't assume the best anymore. How sad.
