He had two EAs, the first came inches from ending up in bed but he barely knew her, the second was quite serious and he WANTED it to end up in bed but it apparently didn't.

Myradorn,

I am glad to hear that he gets it and you are finding a comfort zone now. The shadow box idea is a great one. I am sure that he will love it and it will look amazing hanging in your home.

In our marriage, I continued to recipricate after Dday.

you are not throwing him a bone, you are in fact, being you - kind, considerate, and caring. nothing wrong with that.

short funny (not to me, but might make a few of you chuckle). on our FIRST anniversary my step son, 14 at the time, reminds his dad. "'today is your anniversary, what did you get sissy?" "nothing" my husband responded. well my step son told his dad "not cool, dad, not cool at all". so what does my husband do??????????????????

he drives up to the liquor store and buys a card then goes to the corner where a young lady sold flowers out of a 'hut'. brings me home the following card - front page of the card depicts a rose with the words FOR ALL YOU DO - --------------------now picture me opening the card and finding THIS BUDS FOR YOU". from a friggin liquor store.

should have known that very day that mr sensitivity he was NOT.

I'm a bit more comfortable, I just hope that continues to improve.

With us, it hasn't been the case for many years, so I'm trying to appreciate the days when it is now.

If showing some backbone is being a bi+ch, then I'll join you and be one.

Kinda makes you wonder if his son would not have reminded him IF he would have even remembered your anniversary doesn't it? What a thoughtful card though... NOT.

you know it is funny, not really, but even though that happened almost 33 years ago often when i see a BUDWEISER beer commercial it triggers that memory.

but then this is one of those men who does not believe in giving flowers - ALL THEY WILL DO IS DIE, nor does he believe in cards - WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR WORDS SOME FAT GUY SITTING AT A DESK CHOMPING ON A CIGAR THOUGHT UP.

mr. sensitivity my husband is NOT. truth be told it is all about the money, i often tease him that in his last life he was abe lincolns financial mentor. ha ha -------
