I’m reposting this from a discussion under Just Found Out titled “For The OW”.

I could have written this post also. My DH said the same things about the XOW. He said that he gets physically ill when he thinks about what he did with her and he actually starts dry heaving when he talks about her. He said that she and the person he was at the time of the A were dirty human beings feeding off of each other's low self esteem. Can you imagine being the worse mistake of someone's life? My DH does everything he can to make me feel safe in our M and I know that his only thought about the XOW is how disgusting they both were acting. It's amazing how even though our DH cheated, they put us on a pedastal. I remember on D-Day when he dropped the x-skank my DH told the XOW that he would physically hurt her if she ever came near me. After D-Day he gave me a can of mace and escorted me everywhere because he said that he didn't want the XOW to come near me. It was weird because I was thinking how in the world can you sleep with someone yet turn on her so quickly when I find out.

His A was awful but we have truly rebuilt a stonger M.

jd

what a beautiful post. i am so happy for you, you are where so many of us bs want to be - with a man who gets it - understands the depth of your pain and humiliation. a man who is capable of empathy.

HOWEVER, the size of your post holy moly. i had to get a magnifying glass. ha ha

continued happiness to the both of you.
