You sound like you are moving in the right direction, you are taking action, which is a great thing! You should be so proud of yourself! Also, my ex is bipolar, and he was diagnosed after his first affair, and once he was on medication, I didn't think it would happen again, but it did!

Keep on doing what you are doing, one step at a time!

I guess a lot of this depends on what part of the country you are living in, cost of living can vary greatly. I do think you should get a good lawyer and find out what a fair settlement is.
