Who Is To Blame--Girlfriend or Husband?

"No one--except the wife--blames the girlfriend as much as they blame the husband."

This is from this morning's Maureen Dowd NYT article about Gov. Mark Sanford, "Rules of the Wronged."

It gave me pause. Okay, if the H is a serial cheater, I can see it. What about a one-time A?

Any thoughts?

BTW, I read the readers' comments. When I came to one one by the man who pontificated that A's could be prevented if the W simply met the H's sexual needs, I wanted to put my hands through the computer and strangle the guy.

How could anyone honestly blame "the girlfriend" or "the boyfriend"?

I think maybe you might need to take a deep breath and go back and read what I said.

forgot to say I agree with you about the dude's stupid comment ... unfortunately I know more than one wife who feels that way about her 'job'.

It's a case of "you had to be there".
