Ive been on the boards a few times for myself - I have my own issues right now lol BUT- my best friend has a problem we'd like to get an opinion on...

She broke up with her boyfriend a year and a half ago- they have been spending time together this month just going on casual dates- nothing intimate - just spending time together. They are both casually dating other people. She is ready to comitt to only him. She approached him the other day and he told her I want to be single right now. "I love you but right now I want to be single." He said it wasnt about dating other people he just didnt want to commit to a relationship and wants to be selfish- not having to worry about anything else. He told her he didnt expect her to wait around but he does love her...

Im the wrong person to interpret this for her bc I am in a kinda similiar situation....has anyone ever been in this position? What does this mean?

Thanks!

Welcome to the board nikkigurl2005,

It means he likes spending time with her, hanging out, but he's not ready to commit.

Amen to that. It's not on Sandra's fantastic Zen of doing nothing, but she mentioned once in another post that a period of absence makes the heart grow fonder, but if it doesn't, you're better off knowing now. (or something to that effect)

cheers
