To me caring for another is genuine positive regard. Being empathetic and be available as a friend. Feelings are your heart felt emotions. Not sure what you are asking but they go together..

Not sure what you are getting at.... but you can genuinly care for a person and not have any romantic feelings towards them. You can care, and like and even have mixed feelings for the same person, even like to have sex with them , but not want a relationship or every marry them. I cared for the last guy I broke up with, and had feelings towards him, just no passion or love or compatibility. My feelings were mainly, I felt sad that I was breaking his heart, and I felt that he was a great guy, but I felt it wasn't going to work out.
I guess the feelings have to be defined...are they friendly feelings, sisterly feelings, horny feelings, I think I want to marry you feelings... it's too wide open to just say feelings. Caring is.. I wish you the very best, it's NOT "I love you and want to be with you"

Gotcha, you are trying to figure out what a GUY means? Well here is something to consider: forget about it..you may never get inside his head and understand. What is important is what you think and feel. What you need.
