i just want some word of wisdom...some words or guidance...something!!!
i posted last nite as to WHY WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES? and i truly believe everything i wrote in that post...but it's hard for me to follow through and this is why.
a part SMALL part of the reason my ex and i broke up was for trust issues. he went out one night with people he works with (who ALL cheat on their significant other and they are ALL married) and i just kinda went crazy. went to my sisters and drank some wine...obviously had more than i should have because when i left her apartment, i went in search of him. never made it there because i got into an accident (YES I KNOW I AM A HORRIBLE PERSON FOR EVEN ALLOWING THAT TO HAPPEN TO SOMEONE INNOCENT!!!! I know that i am COMPLETELY TO BLAME) but i lost my license for a year, have five months to go until i get it back, so how do i move on with no kind of independence. i get home from work and sit in my aunts house either exercising or watching TV. i work with an awesome bunch of people that always go out to dinner and offer to take me home but i can't do that because i feel like a loser. so how do i move on when i feel like my independence is gone?

Hi nuthinbutachick,

Your post on 'Why do we to this to ourselves' was really good.

To answer your questions here...

You need to forgive yourself for losing you license and be as kind to yourself as your coworkers are trying to be with you.

Many people rely on public transportation to get around. Is there any kind of public transportation you can use, such as a bus or subway? I have no idea where you live, but bicycling is also an option for some people. And walking is not out of the question, either.

Maybe you can trade rides with someone for some other service you can provide them. I am sure your situation is frustrating, but since there is nothing you can do about it for now, maybe you can find some opportunity in it to meet other people. Do you have any family members who can give you rides?

I hope you won't use this as an excuse to not move on in your healing.
