From my experiences a man that can not perform usually has low testosterone.

Suedh123,

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I am going through the same exact thing. I am also 23. I was with my bf for 4 years. We recently broke up right after New Years. It's all still pretty new, but It's been slowly coming to an end. Neither of us were happy, and my friend...well someone i thought was my friend was giving it to me in the back, and he was helping her. For the last 4 years, this man put me through an emotionally roller coaster with everything. Finally this last year, I was so depressed that I had gained a lot of weight, i was on anti-depressants...and he ended up telling this girl, he was repulsed by me. He never told me that however, but we stopped having sex a couple months back. He basically told me he wasn't attracted to me anymore, and he fell out of love. It was a real heartbreaker. He emotionally, physically, mentally, and financially drained me...and I knew I was the only person who was going to pick myself up off the floor and love me for me. You're not damaged goods, I promise. I wanted to tell you though, I recently picked up a book called It's called a breakup because it's broken by Greg brehrendt and Amiira Ruotola-Behrendt. I think it may help you, it's helped me so far. I still go through my off days where I'm sad and feel rejected. But, I'm sure I'll have days like that for awhile. If you need anything, please let me know.. we can exchange email addresses ...it's good to vent. Take care:)

On the him performing sexually thing...

That is not your fault...I had the same issue for a couple of months when I was on painkillers (for surgery).
