I have no idea to deal with this situaion.
My ex-fiancee and I are still living in his condo
after he broke off the engagement.
A little history.
He demanded I move in with him when we got together and INSISTED i give up my stuff (since his was all way better) and my apartment.
(which i was stupid for doing)
Then, he pushes engagement like a woman! I didnt mention it but he became obsessed with it saying hes getting older (hes 28) and Im 24 and it was time.
He got my whole family revved up and his too and proposed on valentines day 07
now, he has called it off saying "I realized you want an honest guy and I dont feel I can be that"
Now Im stuck here trying to save for an apartment.
I never really saved much money (another stupid move) but now Im having to live here while my heart is aching!
Im broke financially and emoitionally. ADVICE!

Heidi

My partner (of 11 years) and I separated last Friday. We are still living together. It can be done. Although it's only been a week we are just keeping separate, respecting each other yet still talking to each other. Focus on your future and your job/ day to day tasks. I am dreading having to move out/ sell our house but I am rather intrigued as to what I will experience next. I'm focussing on moving closer to my family, spending more time with my friends before I move away from my town (Brighton, UK) and just giving myself little rewards for getting through the days.

wow. so it can be done. monday will be a week for us also.
The twist in my story is that my ex has been flip flopping.
He broke it off but sometimes he still tries to affectionate and loving
Then he will go back to being distant.
At first it was unsettling and i got really emotional but now Im starting to stand my ground and be distant (still nice) all the time.
The sad part is that I am going to need his help financially when i leave...so I am trying to keep the peace and not be too distant.
i think my best bet is to be home as little as possible
