Hi all - It's been two weeks now...still hurting like crazy. I'm going to the post office to send the rings (engagement and wedding) to him. I think that's why I've been crying again all morning is that it makes it so final. Why does this stuff have to hurt to the very core of one's being. I try to make it through the day w/o crying at work then get in my car to drive home and let it out. I'm sure after going to the post office here shortly I'll be a mess again. I had a few days where I didn't cry as much but think that was because I had hope and now feeling hopeless again hurts.

Dear Busy,
I first need to ask you why you are sending YOUR rings back to HIM? I understand that your relationship may be over but what is the point of sending the rings back to him? Did he ask for them back? If so, then I would think it is only fair that you ask him to send you every shirt, bottle of cologne, sexy silk boxers, or anything else you gave him that he still posesses. What you are essentially doing is sending back a gift he gave you. Yes, it is some hell of a gift...one that symbolizes the union in which you one day thought would continue until the end of time, but life has dealt the two of you another hand, honey. I completely understand that it would be too painful to wear the rings but as a woman you have been given the fundamental gift of creativity and I'm sure you could have swapped the gold (or platinum) band for a nice chain and made some sort of glamorous pendant with that diamond. I'm not that technical when it comes to E-bay but from what I understand, you can make some pretty good dough selling some fine jewelry like that. My advice is to try and make the best out of a bad situation. Whatever you do, don't return anything else he asks you for that he once gave you. Get online and make yourself a little profit. If someone is willing to spend thousands for a piece of toast with a supposed face on it, I'm sure you'll find someone to take those wool socks with the holes in them off of your hands.
