Hi marta_joe,

You are investing a lot of time and effort and I hope it takes you were you want to be. I've seen many times, one person making all the effort, that the fight to get what they want (the marriage/relationship back together) becomes the whole and total focus of life, so that when they achieve the goal, there is a deep change with in the person doing all the work. Suddenly, they question whether it was worth the effort and get upset that the other person took so long to get to the same point, that now that they have what they fought for, they find they really don't want it.

I hope your son is coping well with all this.

Good luck to you.

If it's any comfort at all..my best friend and I took a almost year long hiatus. Didn't talk at all for the entire year. But oddly enough a few months down the road now post-break up it's almost back to normal conversation with a lot of hard work on both our parts. So it's not impossible to grow comfortable with each other again.

All the best
