Sorry I keep posting but really having such a tough time. I keep getting teary eyed at work. At least everyone knows my situation and that a broken engagement is pretty much cause for tears. It just sucks. My dad always tried to teach me to be tough and I can't seem to be through this. I'm torn between emailing him or calling but then I may just get rejected again. I'm just not sure if he ended things because he felt I wasn't moving forward with the wedding plans and he was hurt or did he just fall out of love. Help : (

I'm sorry to hear that...but glad that your co-workers are being sympathetic.

If you honestly don't have a firm grasp on why he ended the engagement (as opposed to not wanting to accept what he said when he ended it--I don't remember if you posted what if anything he said when he broke things off), then you might need to have a talk with him so you can move on. But just *one* (don't use this as an excuse to contact him repeatedly), and recognize that he may not give you any answers (or that the answers may be hurtful). And yes, he may not be willing to talk to you at all, or he'll be cold...so you need to be prepared for that.

Don't worry about posting a lot...that's what this board is for!

I KNOW ITS HARD FOR YOU!!! LIKE YOU MENTION YOUR ABOUT TO CALL YOUR EXBF..NOBODY HERE IN IVILLAGE MAKE YOU STOP FOR DOING THAT ESP IF YOUR INLOVE W/ THIS PERSON...ITS ALWAYS YOUR DESICION... BUT WHATEVER HAPPEN YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT IT OKAY!!! JUST LIKE ME LAST MONTH I POST MY PROBLEM HERE AT IVILLAGE..POSTING THAT MY BF JUST STOP CALLING AND IGNORING MY CALLS..EVERYBODY WAS SUGGESTING NC...SO ITS UP TO ME IF I WANT TO DO IT RIGHT!!!

WELL SOMETIME IF YOU REALLY LIKE/LOVE THE PERSON NOBODY CAN STOP YOU!!! YOU STILL DO WHAT YOU REALLY WANT.. BUT AT THE END WHATEVER IT TAKES BE READY...I CALL MY BF THAT TIME HE FINALLY ANSWER MY CALL..WELL I ASK HIM WHATS GOING ON AND WE ALMOST HAD BREAK UP..BUT I DIDNT LET IT HAPPEN..I TOLD HIM MAYBE HE NEED SPACE...SO WE COOL OFF FOR A WHILE AND PROMISE MY SELF I NEED TO STOP CALLING HIM(I TOLD MY SELF IF THIS GUY LIKES/LOVES ME HE WILL CALL ME AGAIN)..WITHIN 4DAYS HE CALL ME AND TELLING ME THAT HE MISSES ME....

WELL NOW EVERYTHING IS OKAY...ONCE IN A WHILE I KNOW HIS BUSY(WORK) SO HE DOESNT REALLY HAVE TIME FOR ME COZ WE BOTH HAVE DIFF WORK SCHEDULE AND MOST OF THE TIME HE WORKS 12HRS...

BUT I UNDERSTAND THAT I DONT WANT TO KEEP ON HARASSING HIM JUST TO BE WITH ME RIGHT hehehehe GOSH I HAVE MY OWN LIFE TOO AND I DONT WANT TO GET USED TO BE AROUND HIM AGAIN....COZ WHO KNOWS IF HIS THE RIGHT ONE FOR ME AND I DONT WANT TO REGRET LATER AND I WANT TO TAKE EVERYTHING SLOW!!!

SO REALLY ITS UP TO YOU IF YOU CALL YOUR EXBF...BUT BE READY WHATEVER IT TAKES...I'LL PRAY FOR YOU AND GOOD LUCK DEAR....

Be tough?? Phooey...feel the sadness and pain..it will help u heal and move on. BUT work is work. Give yourself a week to get it out but then when the time clock goes on, it's work. You have to get it together for your job, please.

UNless you work with clients and have to keep a sunny face, I think your collegues will understand you. I am quite lucky as I have my own office, so unless somebody needs something I can cry all I want. The only problem is meeting clients, but I rescheduled yesterday's meetings and today I feel calmer (except for sudden brusts of ters:/) But otherwise, most people have been through it, and understand very well what you are going through.
