Do Second Chances Work?

My boyfriend of two years and I broke up four days ago.

Our breakup went really well, it was mutual and we both agreed to remain friends (once we're completely over each other, and have no ulterior motives to being friends - like getting back together). We were each other's first loves, and want to continue being in each other's lives, because it seems strange to know everything about someone for two years, then cut off all contact.

Two days ago he texted saying "I miss you and I still love you...want to go get coffee tonight and walk on the beach?" So we talked everything over and we both want to try again, hopefully resolve the issues and continue where we left off. We broke up for jealousy reasons (on my part), and we were just at a point where it seemed like we argued over everything. It was nothing major like cheating or incompatability, and now we're able to talk through problems and hopefully give it a second chance.

Does this ever work, or should I just move on?

Sceond chances can work, if you are willing to put in the effort to make it happen.
