Leesh, it sounds like you did what you needed to do to give yourself time and semi-closure to this situation and that's great.

Hugs,

"Beware the flatterer; he feeds you with an empty spoon."

"Hope is the dream of a soul awake."

Leesh24, I relate to what you're going through, and I've been thinking a lot about false hope vs. real hope, too.

In my situation, I hear my ex say many things---"I miss you," "I'm trying to heal," "I'm still not over you," "Please don't shut me out," etc.

Welcome to the board leesh24,

::but I know in my head and inside that it can't happen until changes are made.

If there have been no steps taken to resolve the issues, work on them TOGETHER as a couple, or no changes made, to me then you are experiencing False Hope.

hi leesh,

I think that when a man wants to be with a woman, he really will do anything to be with her. Short of that, he is really choosing something else.

I have been attempting to "fix" things together as a "couple," but it is very hard to do it with distance.
