I have been reading "The Book of Secrets" by Deepak Chopra and have found it
to be very helpful. One exercise in particular has really helped me deal
with the break up feelings, anger, hurt, grief. You may want to give it a
try. Here is the short version

To Stop Suffering.

*Take a deep breath, sit quietly and feel the sensation in your body

*Feel the sensation without judgement

*Let any feelings, thoughts, or energies that want to come up do so_
this means listening to the voices of anxiety, anger or woundedness.
Let the voices say what they want to say. Listen and understand what
is going on

* Watch the energy disperse as much as it can. Don't demand complete
discharge. Take the attitude that your body will discharge as much
stored energy as it is able to

*After a few hours, or the next day repeat this whole process

I've been doing this whenever I feel overcome and it is really
helping me. The heartbreak/anger/sadness has less energy every day.
