Hey Gang new to this site but need some crucial advise. I have been seeing my boyfriend for 1 year and a half. He lives with me and I feel like I'm ready for a break-up. But he has nowhere to go, no furniture no car and all his friends are losers. He could stay in the apt but I don't know that he could afford it. I feel guilty about his situation, but I also feel like I'm ready to be independent and stand on my own. Any advise would be appreciated

And how exactly does he manage day to day? Are you supporting him?

If you are, I don't think it's unreasonable for you to tell him to get himself a job and start carrying his side of the relationship. You're not his mother and trapping yourself in a relationship because he can't or won't contribute is highly unfair to you.

i think you should stop worrying about his. he'll find his way around it and think about urself for once. it's unhealthy for you to stay if u don't want ot.. he's a man he'll find somewhere to stay

Just went throught this with my last marriage. LET HIM GO. Give him a certain amount of time to get his life in order and figure out where to go. DO NOT feel bad for making him have to figure his own life out - it will just end up costing you way more in the end. Break the connection now and don't look back - if I had done that with my ex I would have ten times less headache then I have right now. Good luck and I'll be praying for you.
