I'm determined not to have contact with the ex. I know how to block emails, but is there a way to block him from calling me on my cell phone? I have caller id, so could avoid picking up, but I don't trust myself to be strong enough.

well i have verizon. i called and asked customer service lol. theres no way to block numbers, u can only change ur number. i dunno if another service provider can block numbers or not.
its pretty lame, but i just dont answer pretty much any unknown call now. just wait for the message- dont want to mess up the NC, not even accidently.

well anyway, maybe you'll have better luck. hope so! stay strong. when hes called me and texted me it was ok not to pick up but i felt an urge to text back a little bit for a few days. u just have to remember how NOTHING good can come from talking. even if he wants you back-think about all that hes already put you through-its probably not worth talking it out. if it didnt work then it wont work later, right?
well, thats what i tell myself. i dont really know if i believe it, but it keeps me from answering. :)

Unfortunately, I don't know of any cell phone providers that allow you to block calls. You could change your number if you feel you need to, or do the next best thing: set his calls to silent (no ring).

sweet! thanks Sheri for that silent ring tip. I have never thought of that one. I just set my ex's # to silent. At first I had deleted him off my phone, which is pretty useless cus I already know it by heart. But this is better, keeping him on my list and changing it to silent. Thanks again!

This is cheesy, but you can also change his display name to 'a**hole' or 'XXXXX' instead of his real name. It makes me feel better to see something negative in the missed calls list instead of "My Sweetheart" or "Dan". I rely heavily on the silent ring, too. Best wishes to you!
