I would like to share.......

I just met this wonderful person:
They are kind to me, always thinking of my feelings and looking for ways to make me happy.
They turn on a movie when I really just need to unwind or am depressed and could use a little downtime on the couch. They bring out a fuzzy blanket, some comfort food, a glass of wine and curl up all night long.
They always remember to find the little things that make me smile; watching children playing at the park, going to the zoo for the polar bears playing, taking a pottery class 'just because', all those little things.
If they hear about an event I am interested in, they collect the postcards, flyers, info and stick it on my fridge to remind me to go.
They are never condescending to me.
They are always ready to cheer me on in any new endeavor I desire to undertake, never undermining my confidence.
They are always eager to try new, interesting things which enrich my life, but do not judge me if I decide not to go for whatever reason.
And, most importantly,
They love me very, very, very much... Unconditionally.

I would like to introduce the world to this amazing love of my life,

"ME"
And I have never been happier.

*Hope this makes someones day and reminds you lovely ladies that this person lies within each and every one of you!!!!*

Wow. That's a really sweet list. I'm going to try making one up for myself. Thank you for reminding all of us that we can be our own best friends and that we really need to start taking care of ourselves, the way we take care of each other here on the board. Have a great weekend! (((((HUGS)))))

Thanks! I was reading through the posts and thought that everyone could use a little pickup... It's not easy some days, I know so well!

I'm going to distract myself by "volunteering" to paint a friend's cottage this weekend! Nothing like community service!!! What fun! At least it'll be good for the arms!! ;-)
Enjoy your weekend as well!!!!!!

That sounds like a great idea. Sometimes when you most need support is when giving it really makes you feel better. I'm going to spend the weekend with my best friend and try not to think about the ex and not talk to him at all ...
