If you can't be with the one you love...

Love the one your with? I'd say no, it is so unfair to the other person. I'm just very nervous about meeting up with this old love interest. I'm feeling the way alot of people do after a breakup: Sad, vulnerable, lonely, kind of uselss like I have nothing to offer the opposite sex...ect. But when I talk to this man, I don't feel any of that. I AM scared of falling for this guy, it wouldn't be hard to do. And it wouldn't be a huge problem if the ex didn't have such a vice grip on my heart still. (The grip WAS easing a little, but now it's back:( Maybe something wonderful will happen in the future with this guy, but everybody deserves better than being the rebound. I have never been in a situation where I was dumped, and having someone there who is more than happy to pick up the pieces. I don't want to scare this man out of my life, I really like him. Any advice on being able to have him in my life, and controlling my emotions?

Hi alittleafraid,
You are right, it's not fair to the new guy if you are still hung up on the ex.
