I have to tell you that when I was that age
Hello,
I may be wrong in saying this and anyone can correct me-but it doesn't seem fair of her to make you put your life on hold so she can make up her mind about you. She definitely needs the extra time to think and process things. I mean 6 plus years is a really really long time.

Welcome to the board confused98,
I'm sorry you are going through this. Learning to cope with rejection, disappointment and the end of a relationship is not easy.
Most relationships that start out when both people are in their early teens doesn't usually work out long term.
I would first like to thank everyone once again for taking the time to read and post!
I have asked her but she has always been a very hard headed person or sturburn, whatever you prefer.
Just an update:
Yesterday her grandmother contacted to see how I was doing.
::I have a question if I want to get back with her and obviously part of her does to, is it a bad thing to be friends during this time so I'm like still in the picture, you know i dont want to be forgotten, like the saying "out of sight, out of mind"?
The human mind must buy into this thought hook, line and sinker, because I see it a lot.
I'm just venting here, feel free to comment if you wish.
I ruined the NC yesterday, it was 2 weeks and I felt that I had to contact her so I text messaged her just saying Hi, nothing else.
Update:
Good day everyone just wanted to update with the situation.
The text she sent you explaining why she'd reached out to you explains it very well.
I hope you take what Sheri said to heart.
