Welcome to the board surfergirl77,

For what it's worth, I think you made the right decision. The 'right' guy wouldn't have requested a break to sow his wild oats.

Grief is a powerful emotion. It's ok to scream, cry and be upset. Write a few UNSENT letters.

I understand exactly what your going through. I'm in the exact same situation.... well I moved to find better employment and for lower rent prices. But same thing really. Anyways like you I have family back east and a best friend that's getting married soon too in the spring. And it's hard being in a new town. I've been here for about a month now and I just found a starbucks today. Good luck to you.

Hi,

I'm glad u r doing better and u are strong to pick ur self up and get back out there and just meet as much guys as possible. Don't stress about being stood up,who cares right? you don't really know these people, so it won't really hurt. U will just beat ur self up asking "what's wrong with me"? The truth: NOTHING!!

i dont know, i think your child will be ok without a mom and dad together if you are confident of your decision. kids can sense tension and unhappiness with their parents. so it would be worse if you stayed together and weren't loving w/ one another.

im sorry to hear this.

Thank you,

you are absolutely right about my son feeling tension and unhappiness, that is why I would not put my son through that. Even though family is important to me, if my guy and I don't work out in the future I prefer not live a lie in front of my son just for a "Family".
