Ok, so I'm old enough to know better....
My significant other and I parted ways about 6 months ago. We were together for 4 years. He was 6 years younger than I and not ready for the things that I was ready for, so I ended things.
We did manage to remain friends, however hard that was/is. But he has managed to have his cake and eat it too. Meaning that over the past several months - about every 3 weeks or so - I'll get a call from him and we'll go to dinner or hang out and then end up doing the "deed". I've been pretty good over the past month about turning him down for "dates" and today (his b'day) not answering his call.
I guess I'm just looking for some validation - a "go sister!!" or something.
Could someone give me a shout-out?? That is really all I need at this point....but I do still need it. THANKS!

He's having his cake and eat it too.. because you were serving it to him.
You go girl... you don't deserve to be someones "piece of cake".
Good for you! I know it isn't easy, but you're being strong and that is a beautiful thing! I salute you! You have set the boundries and respected yourself enough to keep them! You are on your way.
