What are the most popular break-up excuses? I am vey curious.

Some I know of:

I need space (this is my guess for most popular...from my own personal "poll". Lol!)

It's not you, it's me.

You are not the one.

I'm not happy.

I'm seeing someone else.

Any others?

Don't forget "My life is to busy for a relationship right now....with school/work etc....I can't give you the proper attention you deserve and it wouldn't be fair to you."

Hi

There is still: "We are too different," "I don't want to try to work this out," and my personal very hurtful favourite: "It's you. You are....etc. Find someone who will like you for who you are."

Cheers, Trinity

Ive got one- I dated this guy who had 3 or 4 DUIs!!!! But he was a good friend so I didnt hold it against him at the time. I drove him everywhere in the mean time- the only friend he could count on. Then we decided to take it a step further and started dating. BIG OOPS- I ended up driving with a few drinks in me one night and I ended up getting a DUI. He told me after I lost my lisense that he had to dump me because he was on the way up and I was on the way down! He was a mechanic for god sake, I own my own business!

Oh yes, the proverbial- "You deserve better than me... you deserve more than I can give you." well, duh, why didn't you think that before you wasted 2.5yrs of my life???!!!

I also like Heidi's "excuse" about the X not having any time due to work, school, time contraints.... whatever....

I'm surprised no one wrote the best one:

I love you but I'm not in love with you

You'd think men would be a tad more inventive than repeating something they hear in movies but have little idea of what it means. Next time (hopefully never!) someone says this to you, ask them what the difference is.

Here's one I had the pleasure of hearing earlier this year:

"I love you and know you're perfect for me...but I have to make my parents happy and have an arranged marriage."

well my ex got really creative.

i asked him what he wanted and he said "to be friends, always" and i said "so you want to be single now?" (background is he had been ignoring me, instead of telling me he wanted out.. so i had to corner him and ask)

and he goes "i don't feel like being anything right now, as a matter of fact. i don't have time to be thinking of that"

well GEE thanks for telling me sooner, moron! i hate men that can't just come out and say what they want. it's like pulling teeth!
