He is - and a big guy at 18 lbs! He's 5 yrs old, and I adopted him from a foster home where he'd been placed after being abandoned when his owners got divorced. They breakup and leave him, I breakup and scoop him up=)

Thats a great story!

I love when people rescue dogs! Here's who I rescued off the side of the road (well actually the middle of the road):

Ooooh!!!! Looks JUST like the dog we had growing up (retriever/shepard mix we think)! We called her Tora, and I LOVED her like no other!!

I've had crazy pet my entire life, and they've ALL been rescue animals. We've had dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, turtles, a horse (boarded off-site...I grew up in the regular suburbs, my dad is just one of those animal NUTS! Musta rubbed off on me!). I don't know what it is, but MY GOD, animal companions make you happy on an entirely different level!

Good for you! My roommate has 2 cats to keep my pup company now, but her wedding is next fall, and I've already decided I'll need to find another rescue animal by then to keep the house full!
